summer. Her dissertation, "Changes in the strategic focus
and internal operating culture of investor-owned U.S. electric

Fun Stuff
Hawaii 5-0! Birthday Bash
This summer Katherine, her husband Don, and her two
lifelong friends, Jim and John Hansen, headed to Hawaii for a
celebration of our 50th birthdays. Don turned 50 in June while
Katherine, Jim and John all hit the big milestone in September.
Every decade, our foursome plans a special milestone celebration and
this time we decided to celebrate our 50th birthday with a trip to
the Big Island of Hawaii. We kicked off our birthday
festivities with a Hawaii luau. Our adventures included
visiting the Hawaiian Volcano's National Park, Mauna Kea
Observatory, snorkeling, and even a few Mai Tais. Check out
the photos of our
Hawaii adventure. Aloha!
